This section is basically an opinion section and nothing in here is explicitly in the game. However, it has been hinted by fanfiction authors such as the ones at bishink that Fujin may in fact be a sorceress (of the wind).

One argument in this theory is the fact that her name, Fujin, is the name of an actual Shinto god. However, "Raijin" is also a Shinto god, and seeing that in the world of FF8 the powers of the sorceresses are passed down only to female, using her name as a base to say that she is a sorceress cannot really factor into this.

Another clue is that she carries the wind GF Pandemona. In the realm of FF8, you don't draw GFs from like, the guy down the street. Most of these are either drawn from monsters, excluding the ones you battle and keep, not draw. The only people you draw GFs from are Edea, Norg (who isn't human; he's a Shumi) and Fujin. Therefore, one can speculate that being able to draw a GF from someone makes them somewhat different? I'm unsure, however, if having one junctioned to you means it can be drawn from you, or if it has to be something inside of you to be drawn. You can't really say, since no one ever draws your GFs from you, or even tries.

Other than this, I can't think of many ways that this is plausible, though it is an interesting twist. If anyone else has any ideas, feel free to send them my way!
