She opened her eyes, to the room that was void of any light. It was like this every time she awoke, that is until the lamp lit up. She did just that, turning it on, her eyes still drowsy. The light forced her to draw back and cover them until she was use to this change. She placed her feet upon the cold ground as she reached over to her night stand and took her emerald necklace in her hand. She placed it around her neck, as she did every other day. Stepping up from her bed she walked to her door, perhaps her destination was the bathroom, but instead she walked back over to her night stand, grasping it's brass handle and opening it. Inside were several photographs, scattered pieces of paper adorned with writing, poetry in other words. She reached in and took out a single photograph, one of her parents. It was her favorite photo of them, and she couldn't start the day without looking at them first. Why she did it was a mystery, one that wouldn't be solved in the near future. Perhaps she just couldn't start the day without seeing them first. She was finished, tracing her finger over their faces once more she placed the photo back in her draw, where it would remain until the next day.
She closed the door, then quickly ran to the bathroom where she made an appointment with the toilet, only it was face first. This was no surprise to her though, it was becoming a daily occurrence, it was almost expected. Once she had finished she flushed the toilet and moved over to the sink where she filled her palms with water and threw her face into it. Hopefully that would wake her up. She wiped the water off and went back into her room. Thinking of what to do next, of course getting dressed was always good, but after that? She could always go to the gym, or just walk around the area. Her days were boring, utterly boring. The only thing she really could do was go off to the gym and try to enhance what skill she had. So this day would be no different. She quickly changed into the outfit she always wears while training and tied her hair back into a bun. All she had to do now was hope someone was in there to spar with, otherwise she'd be fighting herself, which she hated, and never got anything from in the first place. She quickly left her room, walking along the hallway and passing plenty of people who had already started the day. None of these people she communicated with, she had only talked to only a few people. And she wasn't going to start talking to them now either.
She reached the gym, finally. It seemed to herself as if it took an eternity, but that usually did happen when she fell into her thoughts, they were endless. She opened the gym door and stepped in, she thought the room was empty until she noticed a single man at the far end. He was good enough for her, so she would just propose a challenge to him and see if he would take it. She placed her necklace under her collar and casually walked over, hoping he had nothing better to do.
"Would you like to spar with me? I hate training with myself. You seem well enough." She asked, with a smile, her smile always got her something she wanted. The man looked up to her and nodded his head. Kaori smiled once more and took her position on the mat. She ready herself in her regular stance and awaited her opponent. She always liked giving them the first attempt at striking. The man got himself ready as well, and seemed to wait for Kaori. Kaori just smiled and curled her finger telling the man to come to her, which was the classic taunt. The man followed, attempting to throw his foot into her stomach which he surly failed at. Kaori instead grabbed his leg and twisted it, tripping the man to the ground. He quickly got back up, just in time to see Kaori swing a kick to his left temple, he ducked and grabbed her foot, throwing her to the ground. Kaori rolled to the side and put her legs up in defense as the man was about to go down to strike her. Her feet met his chest and she swiftly pushed, sending the man backward and onto the floor.
Kaori jumped up, now standing firmly on her two legs. The man got up and looked at her angrily. She just gave a cold smile in return. "Now, now. It's only a game." Kaori said slyly. The man started running toward her, and just as he threw his fist out to meet his face Kaori grabbed it and flipped the man over. He fell to the floor with a hard thud and closed his eyes as if he were tired. Kaori placed her foot on his chest and looked down, her smile remaining.
"Ready to give up yet?" She asked, knowing she had won this, though she had a few surprises coming.
"Not by a long shot child. It's also not good to be so full of yourself." The man said that and grabbed Kaori's leg, throwing her to the ground. Kaori rolled backwards and stood up, but not in enough time to see the man throw his leg down and trip her once more. Kaori fell to the ground once more, this time knocking the breath out of her. She quickly jumped back up, her feet meeting the man abdomen as she did. He back up a bit but regained his composer and pushed on. He ran forward and managed to throw his foot into Kaori's face. Kaori's head flew back and she fell to the floor once more, while a rush of anger flew through her. She slowly got back up to a standing her face flared with anger.
"You asshole." Kaori's eyes flared a bright green color, which she was completely clueless of. The man saw this and immediately became confused, it was such an odd thing to happen. Without realizing what would actually occur Kaori threw her arms down and her sides and began walking over to the man to attack however as she threw her arms to the sides the ground beneath to two started to shake. Kaori tried her best to keep her balance but she fell to the floor, she was doing a lot of that. The man was about to fall, but before he did the ground underneath the floor rose up and threw him into the wall, knocking him unconscious. And as the ground rose up from that spot it rose up from several other spots until the room they once called a gym was nothing more then rubble. The gym equipment lay scattered over the floor, as the lovely protruding stones from the floor rose up to the ceiling.
Kaori managed to crawl her way into a corner as the event unfolded. She was confused and scared, and felt completely alone. She didn't know what she did, and didn't know how she did it. So she sat in the corner, waiting for whomever would run into the gym to see what would happen. As she waited she held on tightly to her emerald, and felt the warmth of a tear that rolled down her cheek.
"What have I done..."
