I'm going to post the basic template for the bios, and a little info about each area in case, for some reason, you get confused.
Name Should be self explanitory. Format should go First "Nickname (if any)" Last.
Age Pick an age for your character.
Sex Male or Female.
Birthplace This is earth, so pick a place. Have it make sense though, please.
Appearance Hair, eye, skin, etc. color, basic body build, clothing, things like that.
Personality The highs and lows of how they act, feel, and react to different situations.
Weapons As it says. What they use to fight with. Not necessarily a gun, etc.; bodies and minds are weapons as well.
Strengths Personality and physical pros.
Weaknesses Personality and physical cons.
History A place to give your character a little background. Tell about their life as children, if you'd like, and how they will eventually play a role in the story (nothing to specific; but some vague link that will bring them to the other characters).

Just copy and paste it into AIM (makareht; I'm on AIM more than msn) or MSN (mekarah@hotmail.com) and I'll copy and paste it into the template.
Also, we need a picture that represents how your character(s) look. You can get it from anywhere, but a good place to search is gettyimages, in the creative section.

In an effort to help both readers and writers of the story get a feel of the environment of Twilight, I've decided to lay down the basics of how the world in our story works, economically, in terms of geography, and just a basic overview of things. Of course, being the lazy ass I am, I'm doing it in parts, over this weekend.
So, without any further ado, here is Pt. 1 of a more indepth look into the Earth in -this- biznatch. Or rather, how it all began.

1945 - First test of the Atomic Bomb in the Jemez Mountains in northern New Mexico. It is reported that a blind girl saw the flash 120 miles away.
1963 - American President John F. Kennedy is assasinated.
1976 - Cray invents the Supercomputer.
1980 - Break up of Yugoslavia.
1991 - Death of the Soviet Union.
1994 - After 25 years, U.S. government privatizes Internet management.
2001 - World Trade Center destroyed by Osama bin Laden's followers.
2003 - United Nations Coalition begins War on Iraq.
2005 - EMP by unknown terrorist organization disrupts communications in Washington.
2006 - North Korea is charged with plotting to strike several European countries.
2008 - Stephen Emmerich designs energy efficient hydrogen fuel cells.
2010 - Mission to send man to orbit around Mars fails, complication cause ship to destruct mid journey.
2015 - After much debate, first successful human clone is created. Several follow, all are successes.
2021 - Chimera Project of gene splicing between animals and humans made public, and congress votes for it to become legal.
2023 - Chimera's become available for creation and purchase in the United States; some argue it is a form of slavery.
2027 - A.I is born. Robots with extremely realistic human characteristics become available for sale.
2031 - North Korea is occupied by American forces, little resistance.
2032 - Glitch in Russian computer systems causes accidental launch of Nuclear Weapon. The bomb itself discharges over mountain ranges in England. England retaliates unwittingly with air strikes against Russia.
2045 - Accident involving military officials in North Korea causes systematic launch of Nuclear weapons over the United States. Many are shot down, several targets are hit.
2046 - The United States strikes back. North Korea surrenders after Atomic drop.
2047 - Citizens in England on high alert after several terrorist attacks, followed by many against the US.
2050 - North Korea engages in war with England.
2052 - United States enters war.
2053 - Korea targets several hundred key military Sattillites.
2062 - War has grown into full scale nuclear bombardment back and forth between nations viciously.
2064 - James Emmerich leads citizens riots in the US against the war.
2065 - James Emmerich is assinated. The skies are scorched gray in a botched attempt by the United States in ending the ongoing slaughtering.
2066 - Communications across the world suddenly blackout for twelve days, during the first hour of the twelveth day of December.
2067 - Violent enviromental occurances wreak havoc through the planet, the horribly damaged ozone layer turning to a murky void.
2068 - War ends, Nicknamed now the 'Eve of the Twilight', with no way of fighting it, as world suffers largest famine in its history.
2075 - Thousands of civilians in the city of New York are killed during a collousal fire that ravages for weeks.
2084 - The United States Remnant supplies civilians with food and 'light shelters' across the various surviving cities, in order to help end starvation by creating more crops in the desecrated soil.
The Present Year Is 2137.
Approximate accumulated death toll during the Eve of Twilight war: 998,000,000.
Number of Animal Species Known Extinct: 378.
Atomic Weapons Recorded to Have Been Dropped: 94.
Percent of Unemployed and/or Homeless Worldwide: 86%
Few 'Thriving' Provinces In The World Left: Several parts of England, 18 of the remaining states in the US, Japan, A percentage of China, and Austrailia.
Cause of the Cataclysmic Events Ending the Eve of Twilight War: Unknown.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Got some news for ya.
First things first, me and Liz have gotten to writing some of the bios. There are a few up, and we realize we're the only ones producing much at this point, so we're scouting for a bit more help.
So, anyone who's interested in writing for this story, write a bio of an original character that you'd like to use, we'll review it, and bam, it's as simple as that. So far, Haystack has been in some contact with me, and he's in the process of doing a few, and Tish has been busy as of late, and therefore, I havent seen her much.
I encourage everyone to give it a shot, though. We want this to be a great collaborated fiction over time, and we need all the help we can get.
Also, use the exact same format of the bios you can see here, as an example: soft-rains.net/orpg/evelina.html, and soft-rains.net/orpg/ghost.html. And you can find yourself an image to correspond with your character, here: http://www.gettyimages.com.

On another, more important note, I just found out one of my uber sexy female character ideas has a name that's already taken by the asian guy in The Matrix Reloaded.
Argh.. Oh well.
Oh, and another thing, I've been working on a little advertising campaigne consisting of cool little posters and banners and it's pretty sexy.. Don't expect anything anytime soon though. I'm grounded.
And -another thing-, someone get ahold of Tish. Yeah, I think thats it. [more]
